The activities revolve around the pristine and untouched environment, from birdwatching to wildlife-spotting - this area is home to hundreds of species of wildlife, including pumas, monkeys, tree frogs and around 500 species of tropical birds.
Take in the views from up high at the Observation Tower, where you can move through all the levels of the forest, from the forest floor to the highest trees. If you prefer to keep your feet on the ground, simply relax on the terrace and enjoy the sights and sounds of the forest as you're serenaded by birdsong.
If you are travelling with children, there is plenty for them to see and do. Children aged 6 years old and over can enjoy a Mashpi Ranger Adventure with local naturalist guides - a great way to get to know the surrounding tropical forest and find out about its biodiversity and the importance of protecting this unique environment. Hands-on initiatives include learning how to identify wildlife, insects and leaf patterns, and
how to use tree leaves to imitate bird calls, as well as joining biologists in the lab for interactive learning activities. Also on offer are excursions to waterfalls and safe swimming spots, exhilarating night walks to see nocturnal wildlife, visits to the butterfly farm and rides on the Sky Bike high above the rainforest canopy.
