Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Conveniently located in the downtown commercial and entertainment heart of the city, and only seven minutes from the international airport.

Rooms at Hotel Oro Verde Guayaquil

Modern and pleasant, from the slick wooden floors to the blue, black and white colour schemes, the en suite bedrooms offer ample space, even with the big beds, work desk and dining table dotted around the room. With air-conditioning, a 300 thread sheet count and soundproofing, you are bound to have a good night sleep in these comfortable rooms.

Food & Drink

This hotel rewards those who venture further. Tucked far into the back of the hotel is the wonderful Bar El Capitan complete with sink-into leather sofas and dark wood furnishings that are offset beautifully by the green marble long bar and nautical themed décor.

If you are in search of some Ecuardorian dishes, the casual El Patio is a good bet for a breakfast buffet and light lunch but for dinner, make sure you visit Le Gourmet, which is consistently recognized as one of the best restaurants in the country. Serving contemporary cuisine, the restaurant itself is stunning with its elaborate trompe l’oeil décor that makes you feel like you are sitting in a forest as you tuck into delicate courses of red tuna ceviche with coconut milk, baked duck breast with quinoa puree and lavender cheesecake with organic honey and tangerine ice cream.

Facilities

Relax with a dip in the pool and outdoor hot tub or schedule a massage at the spa to relax those muscles. There are also two on-site shops, perfect for souvenirs and gifts, with Cacao Republic Shop offering the best Latin American harvested and produced chocolate and Ecuadarte full of Ecuadorian crafts and art work.

Activities at Hotel Oro Verde Guayaquil

Since the mid-1800s, the waterside esplanade has been the place for locals and visitors to spend their evenings catching the cool breezes coming off the river. The Malecon 2000 has a wealth of shops, restaurants and galleries along its 2.5km walkway and from here you can see several of Guayaquil’s greatest historical monuments. For a bit of greenery and wildlife, head to the Parque de Simon Bolivar, which is home to hundreds of iguanas. Fed daily by park visitors, take some fruit or bread with you and watch as the iguanas compete for a treat or head over to the pond to see large snapping turtles and slow moving tortoises.
