Vik Chile

Sat on a hill looking over 10,000 acres in the Millahue Valley, in the famous Santa Cruz wine region, Vik Chile is not short of breathtaking views. It is a 2-hour drive from Chile's capital, Santiago. 

Each room features its own distinctive pieces of art and unique bathtubs set in front of the windows so you can admire the staggering views of the vineyard and Andean landscape. As with the rooms, the glass suites of Puro Vik, built in the hillside, each have their own theme and distinctive design, unique furnishings and art. The restaurant offers delicious traditional meals using fresh produce, and dishes are paired with the hotel's own wines - all of which can be enjoyed alongside panoramic 360-degree views over the mountains and vineyards. 

The wine is Vik Chile's focal talking point, with a wine spa which uses the extract of their very own grape - the ultimate treat for any wine buff.  The infinity pool looks out over the vineyards, and there is also a gym with lovely hillside views, a sauna to relax in and games rooms in which to unwind.

During the evenings, enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail on the terrace of the complex, above the mountains.

Participate in one of the hotel's classes, such as yoga, cooking and oenology - for a true wine experience, go behind the scenes to tour the winery and learn about the production of each blend and bottle. Head out around the valleys and vineyards on a trek, on horseback or on a mountain bike ride. The vineyard is not only a place for exploring but it is also a peaceful spot for having picnics.

Aside from wine, visit the town of Zuniga and stop at the alpaca farm on your way, or experience a Chilean rodeo exhibition.
