Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

In Rio’s chic Santa Teresa neighbourhood, from which the villa takes its name, nestled in landscaped gardens.

Rooms at Vila Santa Teresa

There are just seven beautiful rooms, each one unique and named after a member of the estate’s family, with plush beds, comfy armchairs, polished wooden floors and Italian marble bathrooms with vintage bathtubs, alongside floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies to make the most of the city and garden views.

Food & Drink

Tuck into delicious cuisine, created with fresh, seasonal produce, including from the organic vegetable garden. Enjoy delicious breakfasts of fresh fruit and homemade breads and cakes in the dining room, lunch by the pool, pre-dinner cocktails (we love the caipirinhas) in the Library Room (where you can cosy up by the fire on cooler nights), and memorable candlelit dinners in the garden, overlooking Rio and the iconic Christ the Redeemer. Meals can be taken anywhere you like in and around the villa, at any time. Fancy your favourite wine? Just ask, and a bottle will be pre-ordered for you.

Activities

The hotel’s living areas are sleek, elegant and inviting, with cream walls and contemporary Carioca artworks. Stroll through the palm and eucalyptus trees, relax in the shade under the 100-year-old mango tree, take a dip in the pool and drink in the views from the pool terrace, or for something more active, enjoy a game of tennis.
Santa Teresa is full of character, with colonial mansions set on cobbled streets and the tropical Tijuca forest as a stunning backdrop. The local artists and musicians give it a colourful bohemian vibe. Soak up the atmosphere, and if you can drag yourself away, the famous Ipanema Beach is just a 15-minute drive.
