Tayka del Desierto

Location: Uyuni Salt Flats | Bolivia

Marooned in the russet-red desert at an altitude of over 15,000 feet, this utterly remote hotel is the only bolt-hole for mile upon mile. It was constructed using volcanic rock, which both protects it from strong winds and also blends it into the desert environment, and nearly all its electricity and hot water is generated using solar panels.
