Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Launching from Ushuaia, the MS Expedition's cruises incorporate the Drake Passage, the Antarctic Peninsula and the South Shetland Islands. There’s also the possibility to stop at South Georgia and the Falkland Islands.

Rooms onboard the MS Expedition

The cabins are spacious with sea views and private ensuite bathrooms. There are five categories to choose from, ranging from basic bunks to suite cabins. Wi-Fi is available in the public areas on deck, and some rooms also have Wi-Fi.

Food & Drink

Feast on international cuisine in the dining room and grab a drink in the Polar Bear Pub.

Facilities

There’s a 360-degree observation deck, with another viewing platform at the front of the boat. Relax in the Discovery Lounge or head to the onboard gym, sauna and heated mud room to unwind after a day's adventures, while there's also a library and computer room. A big bonus - and something many other boats don't have - is a 'dry room', where you can leave your wet parkas and wellies overnight, and they are warm and dry when you put them on again the next morning.

Activities from the MS Expedition

The MS Expedition's Zodiac boats will carry you ashore so you can discover all that this beguiling region has to offer. From the awe-inspiring wilderness, such as icebergs and glaciers, to the fascinating wildlife, like penguins and whales, you’ll come face to face with Antarctica’s staggering beauty.

The experts are at hand to enrich your experience and deepen your understanding of the area - there's a 10 : 1 passenger-to-expert ratio, with expertise ranging from history, geology and ornithology to marine biology.

There’s also a photography programme, so you can get advice on how to capture amazing photos on your vacation in Antarctica. If you want to really get up close and personal, opt for a camping or kayaking excursion (please note that these extras need to be booked in advance).
