Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Le Boreal departs from Ushuaia and takes a circular route through Drake’s Passage, past the South Shetland Islands and Deception Island.

Rooms onboard Le Boreal

The suites and staterooms are tastefully decorated with soothing neutral tones and splashes of red, and are unusually spacious (up to nearly 400 square feet). Virtually all of the rooms feature private balconies, which is an utterly unique luxury on such an expedition as this. All are fitted with ensuite bathrooms (some of which have bathtubs), telephones, flatscreen televisions and DVD players, iPod docking systems and mini-bars.

Food & Drink

Indulge in the all-inclusive cuisine onboard Le Boreal, whether that’s a three-course gourmet dinner at The Restaurant or casual dining at the Compass Grill, with all table wine at lunch and dinner included. You will also be treated to continental and buffet breakfasts, delicious afternoon tea and a late evening snack daily. Light meals and vegetarian options are always available and special diets can be accommodated in advance. If you prefer to dine in private, room service is available 24 hours a day.

Facilities

The cruise ship has fantastic facilities, including a heated pool on deck, a lecture theatre, a library, a fitness centre and a spa – complete with steam rooms and a salon. Enjoy nightly entertainment in the Le Club lounge, drink in stunning views in the Panoramic Lounge, and watch cultural performances and film screenings in the theatre.

Activities from Le Boreal

Head out to remote shores on one of Le Boreal's fuel-efficient Zodiacs, passing towering glaciers and pods of roaming whales. Back onboard, let the expert guides educate you on the wildlife, history and geography of Antarctica by attending one of the fascinating lectures.
