Begin your East Coast vacation by flying into New York City and checking in to your accommodation for the next three nights, the Crosby Street Hotel. New York City is a metropolis that will not disappoint - with something to satisfy every taste, there is no excuse for boredom in the Big Apple. Tucked into the arty SoHo district of lower Manhattan, the Crosby Street Hotel is a great place to begin your East Coast adventure.

Start with a stroll - the best way to see NYC is on foot to soak up the sounds, smells and sights of this effortlessly cool city. Walk up to Central Park, the peaceful, green oasis at the heart of Manhattan’s urban jungle. Visit one of the many museums, such as the Museum of Modern Art or the fabulous Guggenheim Museum, before heading over to hip Williamsburg for lunch and boutique shopping. Take a ferry out to fascinating Ellis Island – taking in the iconic Statue of Liberty en route – and make time for a classic NYC brunch and a rooftop cocktail overlooking the famous skyline.

After three nights in New York City, catch your flight from LaGuardia airport down the coast to Miami in Florida’s sunny south. Miami is famed for its art scene, beaches and parties, all interlaced with a playful, chilled-out vibe – well-suited to winding up your East Coast vacation. Right on the bay, The Standard oozes Miami cool and as a spa hotel, relaxation is the watch-word. If a spa break makes you feel a little too virtuous, Miami Beach lies right on the doorstep of The Standard, offering all-day sunbathing and surfing.

Spend a day deep-sea marlin fishing off the Florida coast, enjoy the Latino flavours of the city with dinner and drinks in Little Havana, admire some of Miami’s 1930s architecture with a morning stroll in the Art Deco district and spend an afternoon people-watching on the infamous South Beach. A fabulous way to pass a day in Miami is to bike up the coastline for a picnic on the beach, or with a visit to the wetlands of Everglades National Park.
