3 nightsLORETO

Re-energised, it’s time for Mexico; take the short flight to Loreto and transfer to Posada de las Flores which will be your home for three nights. You’ll know you’re in Mexico as soon as you step into the beautiful colonial building, with its hacienda-style stone arches, heavy wooden doors and pretty courtyard. Settle in with a welcome cocktail in the rooftop garden or tuck into the afternoon tea in the courtyard; and cool off with a refreshing dip in the outdoor pool. The next few days can be spent immersing yourselves in the fantastic marine wonderland of Baja California, and in particular the Loreto National Marine Park which in the spring becomes home to an incredible array of sea life including grey whales and blue whales. The whales migrate to the Sea of Cortez to feed and nurse their young, numbering up to 300 at once. After an early morning excursion to see these incredible creatures, enjoy lunch on a beautiful beach and take time to go snorkelling, hiking and taking in the pristine scenery.

4 nightsLA PAZ

The final stop on your adventure honeymoon is La Paz, a four hour road transfer from Loreto, which is an excellent base for all the wildlife safaris you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy in the area. Be inspired by the top researchers and scientists in Mexico who are working to protect and understand the largest fish in the world, the whale shark. These gentle giants gather every year just off the coast of La Paz and you’ll be able to snorkel alongside them in their natural environment, as well as learn about the projects taking place to understand them better. While in La Paz you’ll also be able to interact with playful sea lions on Epiritu Santo Island, an hour and a half from La Paz, where a sea lion colony is found. Take your time to swim and snorkel with these sea creatures and climb back on board your panga boat to reach some of the most virgin beaches on the island for a picnic lunch. Here, your guides will explain the history of the island, its ecosystem, and the wildlife that thrives here. Go on a nature hike or kayak around the bay before enjoying sundowners on the beach. During your time in La Paz you’ll be staying at Costa Baja, a luxurious five-star resort where you can go for a round of golf in the morning, make the most of the Beach Club in the afternoon and feast on freshly caught fish in the evening. The perfect spot to finish up your adventurous honeymoon.
