Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Silversands is a quintessential tropical island paradise in a stunning setting, with the white sand of Grand Anse Beach on one side and palm jungle on the other. The resort feels self-contained in its own little world, with its modern villas connected by winding pathways shaded by palms and dotted with swimming pools.

Rooms at Silversands

The accommodation is spread across the main building and nine luxurious villas on the beach and along the hillside. They all have an extremely stylish design which is sleek and minimalist with some beautiful decorative features: the walls are decked out in Scandi-style light wooden panelling, while modern sculptures sit on marble plinths. The bathrooms come with deep bathtubs and rain showers.

Attractive living areas feature huge sofas facing floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the beach and the ocean, or the lush gardens, alongside terraces or balconies with dining tables and chaise longues, where you can watch the sun set over the Caribbean.

Food & Drink

Dining at Silversands is all about the same attention to quality and detail as the hotel’s exquisite design. Grenada is known as the Spice Isle for its production of nutmeg and mace, and the food at Asiatique combines local spices with Asian cooking techniques and gourmet presentation, to delicious effect.

Try fresh seafood at the Crudo Bar, while traditional local cuisine is served alongside Mediterranean favourites at the Grenadian Grill, with a superb choice of juicy skewered meats. Puro is a sophisticated spot for a post-dinner glass of rum from the world’s best distilleries, and, if you fancy it, a Cuban cigar.

Facilities

A signature feature is the beautiful 100-metre infinity pool, which melts into the horizon and the sea and is the longest pool in the Caribbean. The relaxation is ramped up even further at the Silversands Spa, which has a sauna, an ice cave and hammam. There’s also an indoor pool, and treatment rooms where aromatherapy, beauty treatments and massages feature Grenadian spices and draw from wellness traditions from across the world.

Activities at Silversands

One of the finest beaches to be found on Grenada’s main island, Grand Anse is perfect for swimming or just soaking up some rays beneath a swaying palm tree. Keen divers can head out to Shark Reef and the Grenada Marine Park nearby to discover the kaleidoscopic marine life. Enjoy a leisurely evening cruise to catch an awe-inspiring sunset.

Inland, Grenada’s unspoilt countryside is ripe for hiking, with the Concord and Annandale waterfalls making for rewarding endpoints where you can cool off with a dip. History buffs should check out Fort Fredrick, occupied variously by the French and the British since 1779, while to better understand why those occupying powers were here in the first place, visit the Nutmeg Processing Cooperative to learn about the island’s famous spice.
