Hotel Overview

Sense of place

The Loden sits in the heart of Vancouver’s downtown, in the Coal Harbour district – a location which affords sweeping views over the city’s famous waterfront. Coal Harbour is a peaceful, residential neighbourhood which also offers easy access to the shopping and nightlife of central Vancouver.

Rooms at The Loden Hotel

The rooms and suites at The Loden exude a sense of tasteful, contemporary style, with a sophisticated colour scheme of earthy tones, dark wood and sleek black marble bathrooms. The Signature rooms all feature floor-to-ceiling windows of curved glass, letting as much natural light flood in as possible. In the Park Vista rooms, those windows offer beautiful views over the iconic Stanley Park, the North Shore Mountains, and the Coal Harbour Marina. The charming Garden Terrace rooms take that connection to nature one step further, allowing you to walk out onto a private patio with an urban garden – it even has its own waterfall.

Food & drink

The Loden’s in-house restaurant, Tableau Bar Bistro, is a popular local destination in its own right for its superb French cuisine and sophisticated atmosphere, which evokes a stylish Parisian café. The restaurant is open throughout the day: start off proceedings with croque monsieur or eggs benedict, enjoy an albacore tuna nicoise for lunch, or come in the evening to enjoy bison short ribs, ling cod and clams, or slow cooked lamb shank, among many other superb dishes based on ingredients sourced from the West Coast. Tableau is also a popular drinking spot, and a wide range of cocktails are on offer alongside local craft beers and international wines.

Facilities

The state-of-the-art BeFit studio offers everything you could need to stay on top of your workout regime, with a wide range of cardio and weight equipment as well as boxing and yoga areas; it’s a stylish space, too, with dark wood floors and floor-to-ceiling windows. The Asian-inspired Spa Suite is the place to go to soothe those muscles post-workout, with a range of treatments on offer as well as a high-tech infrared sauna.

Activities at The Loden Hotel

As part of the hotel’s WanderFit programme, guests can enjoy unique, privately guided fitness activities, including cycling and trekking; after-dark treks in the nearby mountains, working towards spectacular views of Vancouver’s lit-up skyline, are a great choice if you’re feeling adventurous. Stanley Park makes for a peaceful afternoon walk or bike ride, while culture vultures should head to the art collections of the Vancouver Convention Centre.
