Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Siwash Lake Wilderness Resort sits the heart of British Columbia, surrounded by spectacular landscapes.

Rooms at Siwash Lake Wilderness Resort

The accommodation options include three Ranch House Suites inside the main lodge, the lavish Cariboo Suite, and two luxury canvas ‘glamping’ tents located at the Siwash Star Camp. We particularly love the ultra-luxurious Cariboo Suite, nestled in the top of the resort’s hand-hewn log barn. From here, you can watch the horses return for the morning rides after their nightly roam - it is truly a magnificent sight.

Food & drink

A ‘wake-up’ basket comes in the form of freshly-baked cinnamon buns and muffins, coffee, tea, and juice - delivered straight to your door in the morning. Breakfast is then served on the panoramic sundeck of the Ranch House, complemented with a ‘Barrel Bar’ containing a continental breakfast.

Lunch is most often served as a gourmet picnic in the midst of your wilderness adventures, and dinner - served al fresco style - features a mixture of Canadian and international cuisine, put together with succulent home-reared beef and pork, and decorated with edible flora freshly foraged. Top off your evenings by lounging around the campfire with a glass of wine, live music and s'mores.

Facilities

Cool off in the fresh water of Siwash Lake - spanning half a mile, the lake provides plenty of natural space for an aquatic workout. Enhance mental, physical and spiritual wellness with a hike or run through the expansive trail systems. Reside in the Cedar Soak hot tub, or book a massage for some extra TLC.

Activities at Siwash Lake Wilderness Resort

Horse riding is at the heart of the Siwash experience, and everybody is catered for, whether beginner or expert. Guests are provided with their own personal horse, and then taken through a step-by-step orientation, covering everything from groundwork and grooming, to saddling and riding.

Even if riding isn't for you, there's a plethora of other privately-guided wilderness adventures, such as fire-ecology hikes along wildlife-transformed landscapes, where you can clamber over boulders and burnt tree roots on a trail along a river bed and learn about wildlife habitats and climate change as you go along. Also on offer are fly-fishing, 3D cross-country archery, hatchet throwing, sport clay shooting, wilderness survival experiences, thrilling helicopter safaris and so much more!
