Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Emerald Lake Lodge is near Field, right in the heart of Yoho National Park and 20 minutes west of the beautiful Lake Louise.

Rooms at Emerald Lake Lodge

The 24 cabin-style lodges, built with hand-hewn timber, are designed to echo the traditional architecture of the lake. Rooms feature cosy wood fires, balconies with uninterrupted views over the lake and large baths. You can truly forget about the modern world here; there are no TVs in the rooms, and mobile phone signals and Wi-Fi are very limited - but there are phones in the rooms and Wi-Fi is available in the main lodge.

Food & Drink

Dine in the comfort of the cosy Mount Burgess Dining Room, which specialises in delicious Rocky Mountain cuisine. Try the elk ham and gruyere sandwich for lunch, before tucking into freshly cooked salmon or caribou come the evening. Head to the Kicking Horse Lounge for locally-brewed beers and single-malt whiskies - and you can also enjoy the Mount Burgess menu here.

In summer, cross the bridge over to Cilantro on the Lake for stunning views and food to match.

Facilities

Spend your evenings soothing those aching muscles with a visit to the sauna, or relax under the stars in the stainless steel outdoor hot tub.

Activities at Emerald Lake Lodge

Take a lakeside walk, canoe, row or kayak across the lake, or navigate some of the numerous hiking trails on your doorstep. Feeling a little more adventurous? Try your hand at some of the Rockies’ finest cross country skiing and snowboarding.
