Moraine Lake Lodge

Moraine Lake Lodge has a stunning setting on the shores of Moraine Lake, in beautiful Banff National Park.

Both the interiors and exteriors take their inspiration from the surrounding natural landscapes, with rich earthy colours and handcrafted wooden furniture decorating the lodge’s rooms and cabins. The plush beds have down duvets and soft blankets to ensure a good night's sleep, while the bathrooms come with deep soaker tubs to relax in after a day's exploring, before cosying up by your river rock wood-burning fireplace. 

All rooms feature breathtaking views of Moraine Lake or the Valley of the Ten Peaks and its glaciers, which you can enjoy from your private balcony. You’ll be able to unwind in peace here, since there are no TVs or telephones in your room. The one concession is Wi-Fi - but we recommend switching off completely!

The Walter Wilcox Dining Room, where you can admire the big stone fireplace and the lakeside views while you dine, serves up a distinctly Canadian menu full of delicious regional specialities. Try the buffalo carpaccio with roasted pine nuts and you’ll understand why this is one of the best gourmet restaurants around - and wash it down with a glass or two of vintage Canadian or American wine.

Also, don’t miss the complimentary afternoon tea and cookies, served in the library every day.

The lodge hosts complimentary (and very entertaining) talks in the library three nights a week, or simply nestle by the fireplace in the lounge on one of the comfy sofas. 

Explore this exciting UNESCO World Heritage Site on your doorstep by foot, horseback, snow coach or helicopter. Head out on Moraine Lake in a canoe, go trekking along the scenic alpine forest trails (guided hikes are available) or take to four wheels or the skies.

Other beautiful spots a short drive away include Lake Louise and Banff.
