Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

The Fairmont Banff Springs is situated in the heart of Banff National Park, around 10-15 minutes' walk from Banff town centre.

Rooms at Fairmont Banff Springs

There are 764 guest rooms in total, including larger suites with sweeping views of the Rockies and cosier rooms tucked away in the corners of the castle. Perfect for couples, we love the turret rooms for their character, charm and peacefulness. Due to their large size and convenient separate living areas, families should opt for rooms in the castle’s Stanley Thompson Wing.

Food & Drink

Like the other Fairmont hotels, there’s a plethora of choice at Fairmont Banff Springs. Canadian, Italian, Alpine and Japanese are amongst the many different cuisine choices; we loved the quaint, romantic vibes at the Grapes Wine Bar, but the Banffshire Club is the best for fine dining and classic, well-cooked Canadian cuisine.

Facilities

Relax after a day in the great outdoors with a visit to the award-winning spa, a heavenly sanctuary that makes the most of the alpine air and stunning setting, including a mineral pool and waterfalls.

Activities at Fairmont Banff Springs

Skiing, dog sledding, snow-shoeing, skating, golf, hiking, river rafting - there are so many things to try at the Fairmont Banff Springs. We recommend taking a gondola ride to Sulphur Mountain - the views once you climb to the top are simply breathtaking. Alternatively, amble to nearby Banff town centre or take a shuttle to Lake Louise or Whistler to experience some of the best slopes around.
