2 nights TANGIER

After flying into Tangier, you’ll have time to explore this bustling port town and Europe’s gateway to Africa. Roam the winding alleyways of the medieval medina, browse the souks for ceramic pots and traditional wares and dive into the city’s thriving café culture. For swimming and sunbathing, Plage de Sidi Kacem is the most beautiful stretch of golden sand, just a short drive from the centre of Tangier.

Your boutique hotel, La Tangerina, is in Tangier’s Kasbah, with a lovely roof terrace offering panoramas of the Strait of Gibraltar and the city’s old Medina.

2 nightsCHEFCHAOUEN

Travel on to the medieval town of Chefchaouen, a striking vision of blue buildings, perched in the Rif Mountains in the north-west of Morocco. The old town is dotted with shady, cobbled squares, where visitors and locals alike gather at buzzy cafes that spill out into the streets. It is here you will discover the Kasbah Fortress, with its charming gardens and views across the medina below.

Here you’ll stay at Riad Cherifa, an authentic base from which to experience Berber culture and the city’s bygone heritage, including traditional architecture and craftsmanship.

Morocco’s foodie capital, Fes is also home many architectural and historical delights including Medersa el-Attarine, a beautiful 700-year-old temple-like building once used for religious teaching and other educational purposes.
