Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons sits in the pretty village of Great Milton in Oxfordshire, just an hour from London and half an hour from Oxford.

Rooms at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons

The individually-designed rooms and suites are influenced by chic French, Italian and Asian style, and showcase the historic character of the 15th-century building alongside contemporary charm. Each one has antique furnishings, modern artworks and marble bathrooms, and some have terraces overlooking the tranquil gardens.

The decadent suites include modern, artistic interiors with vibrant colours and original paintings by artists such as Jack Vettriano, as well as rich, warm Asian-inspired interiors with flowing drapes and velvet armchairs. Or choose the romantic and cosy 15th-century dovecote, or the signature Blanc de Blanc suite, which is a vision in white, including ceramics and porcelain, and has a private terrace. For children, there are toy boxes, puzzles, DVDs and Nintendo Wiis - so there’s something to suit all ages.

Food & Drink

The orchards and the vegetable and herb gardens cover several acres and include 70 species of herbs and around 100 types of vegetable (as well as 20 types of mushroom, grown in the mushroom valley), alongside apples, pears and quinces. These provide the kitchen and the cooking school with a bounty of fresh seasonal, organic produce, and you can choose from 1,000 different wines to accompany your Michelin-starred meal in the restaurant.

There’s a children’s menu including classics such as macaroni cheese, as well as Raymond Blanc’s personal favourite childhood desserts, including chocolate mousse and crème caramel.

Facilities

Take advantage of luxurious in-room spa facilities, including signature treatments, massages and therapies. Take a stroll around the grounds, which, as well as fruit and vegetables, are also home to a Japanese tea garden and an English water garden - the hotel can arrange tours.

Activities at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons

Traditional English and French outdoor games include croquet and boules, while there are also bicycles available. Further afield, explore the historic town of Oxford and the rolling hills and quaint villages of the Cotswolds, and visit the designer stores at shopping outlet Bicester Village for a stylish new wardrobe.
