Walking poles and bicycles are available from reception, where the staff will happily provide maps and advice about the best walking hiking and cycling routes. There is also a fully equipped gym, and a 24 hour shop where you can buy souvenirs, snacks and coffee.

Trondheim’s most famous building, Nidaros Cathedral, is 15 minutes’ walk away and is Scandinavia’s largest medieval building, an ornate 11^th century building which features bishops and kings carved into its western wall. Other attractions nearby include Sverresborg Trondelag Folkemuseum, which tells the story of everyday in life in Norway with open air exhibits, and the Museum of Natural History and Archaeology.
