2 nightsSORRENTO

Flying into Naples, you and your family will be transferred to Sorrento and hug the coast to arrive at the genteel Grand Hotel de la Ville, your home for two nights. A bustling town with a convenient port for boat trips and pretty streets perfect for ambling along, Sorrento straddles the cliffs overlooking the gulf towards Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius. During your stay you’ll have plenty of time to go on the included tour of the ancient ruins - most kids will be captivated by this archaeological site, frozen forever in the lava flow of the active volcano. Dotted with lemon groves and perched over saphhire waters, take a dip in Sorrento’s warm sea, pop into the traditional restaurants for a local dish and end your evenings with a glass of Limoncello (for the adults) and a creamy gelato (for the kids) at sunset.

2 nightsCAPRI

From Sorrento it’s a short boat ride west to the island of Capri, where you’ll spend two nights at this Mediterranean hideaway famed for its blue seas, rugged landscape and upmarket beach resorts. With stunning panoramic views and a rooftop garden, the Art Nouveau Hotel Excelsior Parco is a classy and intimate hotel that faces the glistening Bay of Naples. With a hydromassage pool, 2 hot tubs and a massage corner, you can easily spend two nights just relaxing under the glorious sun; however, with highlights such a boat trip to the iconic Blue Grotto and a chairlift to the top of Monte Solaro, we’d suggest trading in a few hedonistic hours for an excursion or two to explore the island. After working up an appetite, why not join the hotel professionals on a cooking class, where you can learn how to prepare the best Italian dishes and then at the end, sample your handiwork.

3 nightsRAVELLO

You will then be transferred to the charming town of Ravello for your final three nights. With its Moorish influences and remarkably well-preserved Roman villas and grounds, Ravello has long been a favourite haunt for celebrity visitors to the Amalfi Coast. Your home for the duration is the Belmond Hotel Caruso, a traditionally elegant 11th-century palace set on the highest point above Ravello. With its stunning cliffside infinity pool, tantalising Mediterranean food at the Belvedere Restaurant, and range of luxurious spa treatments, Hotel Caruso is the perfect place to relax in style on the Amalfi Coast. Explore the medieval streets of Ravello, including its ancient church, soak up the views in Positano with it colourful houses embedded in the steep hills, or get a real taste of the Amalfi Coast by taking a gastronomic tour of the region, visiting local farmhouses, hopping between tiny traditional restaurants and feasting on freshly made products of homemade breads, drizzled with olive oil and paired with provolone cheese and salamis.
