Verina Astra is in Poulati on the island of Sifnos in the western Cyclades, near the picturesque village of Artemonas.

The elegant suites are perched high on a hill, with incredible views over the Aegean, best enjoyed from your spacious private terrace – as well as the sunsets and the night-time stars. There are just seven suites, each taking the form of a private villa, and they are surrounded by pretty gardens, ensuring privacy and seclusion.

Food & Drink

The delicious breakfasts include pancakes with honey, omelettes with free range eggs, homemade cookies and jams and freshly-squeezed orange juice. The light lunches are delicious too, and the suites also come with kitchenettes, giving you the freedom to make your own meals if you wish. In the evening, try out one of the nearby restaurants for dinner, and on your return, enjoy evening cocktails in the lounge, accompanied by beautiful views.

Facilities

The infinity pool, looking out over the sea, is irresistible, and you can also swim off the rocks on the seashore nearby. Alternatively, simply unwind with some yoga or relax in the hotel’s shaded courtyards.

Nearby Artemonas is one of the most beautiful villages in Sifnos, with grand mansions and villas with flower-filled gardens. Pop into the delicious bakeries for traditional pastries and sweets, and learn how to make them yourself on a pastry-making workshop. The port of Kamares is 6km away, and there’s a heliport 4km away. There are ferry connections from nearby islands such as Folegandros, while a high-speed ferry from Athens takes three hours.
