Hotel Overview

Sense of place

Kensho Psarou sits on Psarou Beach, one of the most famous on an island celebrated for its fantastic beaches. Nestled on the island’s south-west coast, the location is ideal for drinking in Mykonos’ famous technicolour sunsets, while the beach itself is stunning: a curve of white sand, hemmed in by rocky mountains.

Rooms at Kensho Psarou

The rooms and suites combine luxurious comfort with an organic feel - rough-hewn walls feature lovely pebble detailing, while ceiling beams and furniture are hewn from rugged local wood. Some rooms feature a private terrace with a plunge jet pool, while others have an outdoor hot tub. The Panoramic Sea View Suites offer access to a rooftop terrace, complete with a Jacuzzi overlooking the beach.

All rooms feature stylish bathrooms with brass fittings and walk-in showers, and the amenities are as modern as they come, with iPads loaded with music playlists, Nespresso machines and huge LCD TVs.

Food & drink

The food is an eclectic affair, which sees a local chef serving up delicious Mediterranean creations dashed with the influence of Greek, Peruvian and Japanese cuisines. Head to the stylish and scenic restaurant to dine overlooking the pool and the sea - be sure to finish up with an irresistible dessert courtesy of the in-house pastry chef. End the day with an innovative cocktail at the Beach Bar as you gaze on a famous Mykonos sunset.

Facilities

As well as a tempting pool by the sea, the spa facilities at the Kensho Beach Spa are second to none, and organic ingredients like sand, clay, herbs and cucumber crop up in the wellness treatments on offer, which also feature LED light and pure oxygen infusions.

Activities at Kensho Psarou

Psarou Beach is likely to feature heavily on your itinerary during your stay here, perfect as it is for lounging on the sand, swimming in the clear water, or enjoying water sports such as jet-skiing and windsurfing. Check out some of the island’s other famous beaches too: Super Paradise becomes a buzzing nightspot after dark, while Saint Stephen features a quaint church at one end.

If you can tear yourself away from the beach during your time in Mykonos, you’ll be amply rewarded. There’s no end of designer boutiques and fantastic restaurants to choose from here, but also plenty of culture and history to take in. Head to the famous rock church of Panagia Paraportiani, and visit the Aegean Maritime Museum to learn about the island’s rich seafaring past.
