Food and facilities

Activities at Hotel des Gantes

The hotel is situated above the iconic café Les Deux Garçons, which has played host throughout its long history to such famous French luminaries as Cézanne, Zola and Albert Camus. Cézanne’s studio, which has remained pretty much as he left it when he died in 1906, is a fascinating place to visit, while Musée Granet has a great collection of paintings. The Cours Mirabeau is a beautiful and iconic road which is one of the liveliest parts of Aix-en-Provence and is a great place for a stroll. Lined with plane trees, it’s particularly notable for its fountains, especially the impressive Fontaine de la Rotonde, which makes up a roundabout at one end of the street.
