Relais Christine

Location: Paris | France

With climbing plants and potted flowers draping the exterior in a curtain of green and the interiors dominated by original beams, grand portraits and log fires, Relais Christine is more like a stately country house than a hotel. Rich in period features including dramatic vaulted ceilings and a functioning cellar, the hotel also has a delightful spa, a sitting room with an honesty bar and a garden.
Perfect forOld romance, breakfast-lovers and those wanting to see all of Paris’s top highlights.
In the knowThe sitting room, with wood panelling and portrait paintings on the walls, comfy armchairs and a roaring fire in winter, is a cosy spot for total relaxation, but if you want to be outside, grab a drink from the lounge’s honesty bar and sip in the sun as you enjoy the hotel’s flowered courtyard.

Hotel Overview

Where

Tucked away down a narrow back street on the chic Left Bank, just 750 yards from the Notre Dame- sitting behind wrought-iron gates across a pretty courtyard on the site of a former medieval abbey.

Rooms at Relais Christine

Atmospheric and comfortable, the rooms and suites are tastefully decorated in rich warm colours with a number of suites benefitting from a garden terrace. The wall prints range from romantic and floral to modern and minimalist, whilst the bathrooms are either clad in marble or smart new mosaic. Whichever room, expect plush fabrics and intricate headboards towering over large beds.

Food and facilities

Though only serving breakfast at this hotel, the morning meal is a generous array of delicious pastries, fresh fruit and cold meats and cheeses. Served in the old cellar, breakfast definitely gives a flavour of the hotel’s rich history.

Activities at Relais Christine

Have a soothing massage in the unique cellar spa, sink into the mosaic walled Jacuzzi or be welcomed by the warmth in the sauna. After a rejuvenating body scrub or shiatsu massage, step out onto the capital’s streets to discover the charming boutiques, patisseries, art galleries and cafés throughout the area. Visit the Musée de Cluny dedicated to medieval art and have dinner in one of the many famous bistros in St Germain.
