Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

The Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley is nestled in the Greater Blue Mountains, a stunning World Heritage Area, with soaring sandstone cliffs and a valley carved by the Wolgan River. It sits between two national parks, Wollemi National Park and the Gardens of Stone National Park. The closest town is Lithgow.

Rooms at Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley

The 40 deluxe one to three-bedroom villas are set in landscaped gardens and have stunning interiors, including double-sided sandstone fireplaces that separate the bedroom from the lounge area, and floor-to-ceiling windows to make the most of the views - take them in with the complimentary binoculars. Created from local wood and stone, they feature warm earthy tones and have plenty of character, and each one has its own pool and spacious veranda to relax on. They are equipped with all the comforts you’d expect in a luxury resort - and more.

Food & Drink

The food philosophy is pretty simple here - seasonal, regional and organic, including produce grown in the gardens and from local farms. As you’d expect, what they do with those ingredients is pretty special, and you can enjoy your meals al fresco in summer and by the fireplace in winter. At breakfast, tuck into freshly-baked pastries and organic muesli, and also on offer are delicious local meats, fish and cheeses, as well as local and regional wines. In the evening, linger over handcrafted cocktails in the lounge.

If you're celebrating a special occasion, enjoy a romantic dinner under the stars or a gourmet picnic in a secluded spot on the reserve.

Facilities

Relax in the swimming pool, or head to the serene spa to unwind - surrounded by cliffs and canyons, its treatment rooms have gorgeous valley views, and treatments feature natural ingredients. There's also a steam room, a sauna and relaxation areas, or you can indulge in a yoga session.

Activities at Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley

The resort is teeming with wildlife - kangaroos, wallabies, wombats and birds are everywhere. There are numerous ways to explore the stunning surroundings, with signature experiences such as horse riding, nature walks, wildlife spotting, guided 4WD safaris, including nocturnal wildlife tours, stargazing and historical tours - visit the original farmhouse, which dates from around 1832 and has been lovingly restored with many of the original items on display.

You can also head out on one of the resort's bikes, or get involved in conservation activities, such as tree planting and animal observation. Meanwhile, if you have the family in tow, young and old alike will love visiting the Glow Worm Tunnel on the Newnes Plateau.
