Hotel Overview

Sense of place

In the heart of Bouddi National Park, 100km north of Sydney.

Rooms at Pretty Beach House

The guesthouse revolves around a central pivot, which includes the open plan kitchen and main dining facilities, with four private pavilions branching off that range from the 95sqm penthouse to the 160sqm two storey villa. Taking full advantage of the sea views, the pavilions are all beautifully designed with reclaimed hardwood floors, glass walls, private outdoor spaces with huge daybeds and stylish bathrooms with heated floors.
Ideal for couples, go for the Bayview Pavilion to bask in the heated plunge pool, relax by the wood combustion fireplace and laze about on the wrap-around outdoor deck.

Food and drink

Overseen by chef Stefano Manfredi, the open kitchen and restaurant serves up delicious seasonal Italian dishes, such as authentic slow cooked beef cheeks served on rustic pottery and veal shank with farro served with just-out-of-the-oven bread. You can take your meals in the elegant atrium dining room, in an intimate corner in the wine cellar or more casually outside, watching the pizzas being cooked in the wood fired oven brought from Naples.

Facilities

Wallow away the hours in the infinity pool or in the spa with our favourite treatment, the ‘Ancient Gubbera Stone Therapy’, which is a rhythmic KODO massage using hand-carved crystal stones to rebalance the body, calm the mind and relieve you of your stress.

Activities at Pretty Beach House

Luxuriate in this Australian bushland setting and take in the vistas, or if you can drag yourself away, enjoy scenic coastal treks around the cliffs, while numerous postcard perfect seaside villages and beaches are within walking distance. There are around 100 Aboriginal sites here, and you can see rock engravings and rock art around the park, and listen to ancient dreamtime stories around the fire in the evenings.
Built for serious rod action, the sports cruiser (boat) can be chartered for a full day of deep-sea fishing, where you’ll likely go into battle with a marlin or whopping tuna. If you are not one for fishing, you can visit the nearby hidden coves or go whale and dolphin watching on a sea safari.
