Activities at Ritz-Carlton Chengdu

A Taijitu (Taoist symbol) divides up the western and eastern Tianfu Square. The west side is the perfect spot to have lunch or take a stroll, with trees, flowers and a fountain pool to relax by, while the east side has the largest sunken plaza in China.

Nearby you’ll find the Sichuan Art Museum, home to jade ornaments and famous paintings by Chinese artists like Zhang Daquian and Xu Beihong. The Chengdu Museum is also across the street on the west side of the square, a distinctive geometric building, which has over ten thousand relics that tell the story of ancient China. After a blast to the past, head to the Sichuan Science and Technology Museum to see some futuristic projects in action including cool robots and virtual reality worlds.
