Kalaw Hill Lodge

Location: Rural Burma (Myanmar) | Burma

Price guide: $$$$$ Less than $100 per person per night

Nestled in 30 acres of land against the Shan Hills, Kalaw Hill Lodge's villas were inspired by the architecture of mud houses, which suit its natural surroundings without compromising on comfort and style. The lodge is far removed from the hustle and bustle of the markets, where villagers gather to sell their produce. Visit the local farm where you can learn about old farming techniques that are still in use, and be in close proximity to wildlife such as elephants and tropical birds. Kalaw is also a hiking mecca: with its tea plantations, rice paddies and scenic lakes, this beautiful hill town in the Shan State of Burma is perfect to explore by foot, with its verdant landscapes and high-altitude location with mild temperatures.
Perfect forHikers in search of green landscapes, nature and wildlife.
