Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

On a glorious quiet beach on Zanzibar’s legendary north coast.

Rooms at Kilindi

Kilindi has fifteen enormous pavilions, spread across half a kilometer of white sandy beach. Passing through a thick Zanzibari door, you enter your own private domain, a series of airy domes housing your day room, bathroom and bedroom, with a glittering stained-glass skylight above. Each has a rainfall shower, an outdoor patio, two plunge pools, and a butler on standby.

Food & Drink

Food at Kilindi definitely falls into the category of gourmet cuisine. Delicious meals are brought to you by your butler (who’s available on walkie-talkie throughout the day) and can be taken anywhere in the resort from the privacy of your room to a candlelit table beside the pool.

Facilites

There’s a spa with a double hammam suite for couples wishing to enjoy a steam bath together, and a 25m infinity pool surrounded by sun loungers. The communal spaces are simple, elegant and airy and have a media viewing area and communications space for those needing to connect with friends or take a break from the sun.

Activities at Kilindi

Many of our guests are drawn by the peace and seclusion at Kilindi and barely leave their vast pavilions. However, if you must go out and about, Northern Zanzibar is a mecca for dive enthusiasts, with some beautiful offshore coral reefs. Kilindi can organize dive and snorkel trips along with sunset cruises or fishing trips in traditional wooden sailing boats. Deep-sea fishing is also on offer, with the season running from August - March and providing some wonderfully challenging sport fishing.
