There are three room types: Safari Rooms, which are ideal for families, Villas, with beautiful fireplaces and large lounge areas, and Honeymoon Villas with private plunge pools. Each has been designed with organic forms using natural materials, and has a private deck with expansive and uninterrupted views over the reserve.

Take your meals in either the dining room with views out towards the big game or, weather permitting, under the starry African sky in the open-air boma around the camp fire.

In between your safari adventures, you can lounge in the main lodge, where you’ll find a lovely rimflow swimming pool, a small spa, and a well-stocked bar – all adding to the wonderfully relaxing atmosphere.

Activities at Rhino Ridge

You can spend your entire stay on morning and afternoon game drives, sweeping the bushland for a glimpse of startled antelope or slinking cats on a hunt. Spread over 90,000 hectares, the game park is teeming with Big Five game as well as cheetah, zebra, giraffe and a plethora of birds, and is also home to a successful white rhino conservation project.
Alternatively, you can set some time aside to visit the St Lucia wetland park, taking a boat trip on Lake St Lucia for crocodile and hippo viewing or go on a cultural trip to the neighbouring communities.
