The rooms are housed within three magnificent historic mansions, dating back over a hundred years, with beautiful sea views. They have been renovated to the highest standard of luxury, with hand-crafted four-poster beds, high ceilings and spacious plantation-style seating on private verandas, overlooking the tropical gardens. The bathrooms come with large marble showers.

Food & Drink

Menus feature the freshest local seafood: giant tiger prawns, game fish and fresh crab with fragrant soft, fluffy coconut rice, all served on the rooftop terrace or in a location of your choice. Have lunch in the tropical gardens planted with frangipani, bougainvillea and palm trees, and then head to the beach for the perfect swim.

Ibo Island Lodge is approximately 70km from the Pemba mainland. From the airport in Pemba you can enjoy a scenic light aircraft transfer over the islands and the aquamarine waters, where you may spot whales and turtles during your 25-minute flight to the lodge.
