Hotel Overview

Where

The camp has been set up in the Mara North Conservancy, bordering the Mara Reserve

Rooms at Richard’s River Camp

There are just seven tents in this camp which makes it perfect for that intimate atmosphere.  Beautifully appointed with furnishings and fabrics collected by the owners on their travels which result in a casually luxurious tented camp combining exceptional wildlife with a contemporary ‘Out of Africa’ experience. Fall asleep in your tents at night listening to the roars of the resident lion pride.

Food and Facilities

Despite the small size and remote location of the camp, the chefs will happily cater for almost any food preferences. They have trained all over Kenya and have amassed a wide range of culinary skills and cooking methods. If the weather permits, dining is usually outdoors with a beautiful candle-lit table, however, you will also be treated to bush dinners under a canopy of stars using a simple eco-charcoal oven, and breakfast buffets out on the Mara plains - incredible dining experiences, not easily forgotten.

Activities at Richard’s River Camp

As the camp is in a private conservancy you have the option of going out on your game drives in the morning, afternoon and night for your chance to see all the Mara has to offer. A hot air balloon safari in the early morning is spectacular and comes with a champagne breakfast at the end of it.
