The Little Governors’ Camp is a small and intimate camp that is nicely tucked away in its own spot in the Masai Mara. Being one of the very few camps that is actually inside the reserve means that everything the Masai Mara and the great wildebeest migration has to offer is right on your doorstep.

Rooms at Little Governors' Camp

The camp is intimate in character, with just a handful of luxury tents that are all tucked into the edge of the forest overlooking a natural waterhole frequented by many animals. Each one is spacious, with a private bathroom, and they have polished wooden decks with large verandas to enable guests to relax and enjoy the panorama of animals visiting the waterhole in front.

Food & Drink

Enjoy delicious, authentic and satisfying meals: expect to eat dinner bathed in light from flickering paraffin lanterns, and meals are eaten outdoors as often as possible. There’s a dining tent for the cooler evenings, and a bar.

Facilities

There's a small shop, and, most importantly, a crackling campfire that’s lit each night.

Activities at Little Governors' Camp

Activities from the camp include game drives in a custom-built 4WD vehicles, which are great for wildlife viewing and photography. With excellent guides to drive you around the Mara you will be bound to see some memorable sights, with so much wildlife and incredible scenery on offer.

The camp runs its own hot air balloon safaris, offering you a wonderful way to see the world from above as you glide serenely by. You can also go on a visit to the nearby Maasai Manyatta community, and find out more about the community and conservation projects that the camp supports.
