Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Duba Plains Camp sits in the northern reaches of the wildlife-rich Okavango Delta.

Rooms at Duba Plains Camp

There are just five tents here, guaranteeing an intimate and exclusive experience. The sturdy canvas tents are raised up on wooden platforms which allow the breeze from the water to drift in, and give you fantastic elevated views over the floodplains.

Inside, they’re romantic but authentic, and are spacious and full of character, with large muslin-canopied beds. The bathrooms come with bathtubs and indoor and outdoor showers, and your private veranda has a plunge pool.

Food & Drink

You’ll sit around a long table, tucking in to the excellent food, and enjoying magical views over the delta and boma area. The wonderful staff can also string up some lanterns for a romantic dinner for two, and you may also be treated to a surprise breakfast in the bush.

Facilities

As well as unwinding with a massage after a day on safari, you can relax in the lounge, retreat to the library with a good book or have a glass of wine from the wine cellar.

Activities at Duba Plains Camp

Because of the small number of guests at Duba Plains, the guides can be really spontaneous, whisking you off at dawn to see that passing pride of lions, before plunging right into the delta in their deep-water 4x4s. You’ll also be taken on a mokoro ride, amongst grunting hippos and a wide range of rare wildfowl, before heading inland for incredible clashes between lions and buffaloes. You may also see antelopes and pangolins.
