Hotel Overview

Where

On an island, just shy of the Okavango Delta’s south-easterly reaches, and surrounded by the Moremi Game Reserve.

Rooms at Chitabe Lediba

The 5 tented rooms at Chitabe Lediba have a real romance to them, and with their raised wooden decks they not only catch the breeze but have fantastic elevated views over the floodplains. Each is connected by a wooden walkway amongst thick mopane and acacia, so don’t be surprised if the occasional elephant roams past whilst you’re having your al fresco shower!

Food and facilities

Dinner is traditional and rustic at Chitabe Lediba: enjoyed with the other guests around a long table, before gathering around the fire-pit that’s right beside the water-hole. For couples and honeymooners, they can also arrange you a magical private dinner with lanterns around the deck, and in the afternoons there’s a small plunge pool to cool off in.

Activities at Chitabe Lediba

The Moremi Game Reserve boasts the Big Five, so the focus at Chitabe Lediba is of course game-drives. Leopard sightings are particularly common here, and you can also head out on a night-game drive, and let your expert guides point out rare nocturnal creatures including civet, porcupine, and aardwolf. What’s really good to know, is that here – as with anywhere in Botswana – you’ll never pass more than one other 4x4 on your safari.
