2 nightsMIAMI

Fly to Miami, where you'll stay at The Betsy South Beach, a stylish haunt on the beachfront on the iconic Ocean Drive, which embodies Miami's unique vibe. Imbibe its arty, colourful air by taking a stroll past the ice cream-coloured Art Deco architecture and vintage cars and heading to Little Havana for fried plantain maduros and mojitos. Be swept up in the healthy Floridian lifestyle with morning yoga overlooking the beach, paddle-boarding and bike rides.

After soaking up this unique city, enjoy live jazz in the bar or settle down with a cocktail on the terrace, just in time for sunset over the sea.

3 nightsISLAMORADA

Having collected your car in Miami, you’ll drive to Key Largo where Florida’s incredible Overseas Highway begins. Built in 1938, and recently given the status of an All-American Highway, this road really is mind-blowing to drive, and for much of the journey you’ll have nothing but turquoise water as far as the eye can see.

On arrival on Islamorada, check in to the Amara Cay Resort, a charming beachfront boutique hotel where you can do as little or as much as you like. Swing in a hammock on the private beach, take a dip in the outdoor pool or try your hand at fishing, which is particularly good on Islamorada.

3 nightsMARATHON

You’ll now drive to Marathon, where you’ll spend three nights - plenty of time to enjoy more fresh seafood and indulge in some amazing diving and snorkelling - or go kayaking or paddle-boarding in the tranquil waters, keeping an eye out for sea turtles and manatees.

Your base will be the aptly-named Tranquility Bay, where you can relax in classic Florida Keys style on the beach or unwind by the pool with a tropical cocktail.

1 nightMIAMI

En route back to Miami and The Betsy South Beach, we recommend a stop at the Everglades National Park where you can see wildlife like dolphins, sea turtles, moray eels and stingrays. Back in Miami, browse the boutiques and visit buzzing bars and nightlife spots. Alternatively, simply relax on the beach or in The Betsy's rooftop pool or outdoor spa as the city struts past.
