There are just slow rides here due to the terrain, running four times daily for 75 minutes each, so it's ideal for beginners and intermediate-level riders, but not those who are after faster rides. Explore the unspoiled landscapes of Bitterroot Valley and beyond on a cross-country riding adventure.
Guests also have the opportunity to go on a cattle ride and spend an exhilarating day herding cattle the old-fashioned way - you could help herd anything from 100 to 800 animals (at additional cost). These cattle rides are the most popular riding activity at the ranch. They are exclusively limited to just 8 guests per ride, to give you a fulfilling and memorable experience.
While riding is the main activity at the ranch, there are also plenty of other activities to keep you busy when you are out of the saddle. Spend the afternoon fly-fishing at one of the three trout ponds on the grounds, play a game of 9-hole frisbee golf, have a go at archery, head out on a nature drive or simply take a stroll and explore the lush forests. Exhilarating white water rafting adventures through rocky canyons are also on offer, as well as leisurely scenic floating trips along the Bitterroot River.
There is something for every season too: discover the area by mountain bike or an ATV vehicle during the summer, and by snowmobile and dog-sled in the winter months. In the evening, thanks to there being little light around, this is a fantastic place for stargazing.
Practical information:The ranch is open year-round except for March, with a differing winter package. There is no mandatory arrival date.
There are no minimum stays, other than Christmas and 4th July (the suggested minimum stay is 4 nights).
