Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Sopris House is in downtown Crested Butte, with the Colorado mountains on the doorstep. Enjoy the best of both worlds, with shops and restaurants nearby as well as the vast natural wonderland of the Rocky Mountains, with some of the USA’s best skiing and adventure opportunities right here.

Rooms at Sopris House

Sopris House is full of history and character, and accommodates up to 10 guests in three king suites and an additional ‘camp’ which is perfect for children. The rooms come with four-poster beds, personalised mini-bars and bathrooms with steam showers, and some have private patios or courtyards for taking in the stunning mountain views.

Food & Drink

Eleven prides itself on its expert chefs, who will ensure each meal, from breakfast to dinner, is perfectly suited to your dietary requirements and personal preferences, as well as delicious – the farm-to-fork philosophy is apparent in beautiful dishes inspired by local and seasonal ingredients. If you’re out for the day, a gourmet picnic lunch means you don’t miss out on exploring, and in the evening, unwind with an exquisite tasting menu and a cocktail of your choice.

Facilities

In typical Eleven style, there is no shortage of quality relaxation on offer, including a sauna and an irresistible outdoor copper hot tub which is perfect for soothing tired muscles after a day in the mountains, while watching the beautiful Colorado sunsets or indulging in a spot of stargazing. You can also gather round the firepit in the private courtyard or head to the saloon bar, which has a pool table and jukebox, or the comfy media room, where you can chill out on a beanbag chair to watch TV and movies.

If you have children in tow, they will love the playroom and storytelling room.

Activities at Sopris House

There are numerous guided activities on offer all year round: in summer, go hiking or horse riding among the wildflowers (this area is known for them), enjoy scenic mountain bike rides on world-class trails, or get out on the water with some adrenaline-fuelled whitewater rafting, and in winter, enjoy exclusive skiing opportunities as well as dog-sledding and ice skating, and make the most of Eleven’s mountain chalets.

The activities are tailored by your expert guides to suit you and your skill levels, with all ages and abilities catered for, and all the gear you need is provided – and if circumstances such as the weather don’t co-operate with your chosen activity, your guide will create another bespoke and just as exhilarating adventure for you.
