Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

Scarp Ridge Lodge sits in downtown Crested Butte in Colorado, in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Be within walking distance of shops and restaurants, while making the most of a never-ending wilderness on the doorstep, including some of the USA’s best skiing terrain.

Rooms at Scarp Ridge Lodge

Scarp Ridge Lodge has five king suites, and a large bunkroom with a playroom and a connecting single room (ideal for families), for up to 20 guests.

The rooms have four-poster beds, personalised in-room bars and state-of-the-art sound systems, as well as oxygen systems to help with the altitude, and bathrooms with invigorating steam showers. The large windows frame the views over the mountains, including Mt Crested Butte and Mt Emmons (known as the Red Lady), and some rooms have shared terraces.

Food & Drink

You may be busy exploring, but you certainly won’t go hungry: before heading out, tuck into a tasty breakfast, and refuel with a gourmet picnic lunch during your day’s adventures. Afterwards, unwind with a delicious tasting menu epitomising the Eleven farm-to-fork philosophy, using locally sourced and seasonally-inspired ingredients. You can also hang out in the kitchen and watch the chefs at work. Menus and ingredients are tailored to suit your preferences and dietary requirements.

In the evening, head to the bar for your drink of choice (try the local Colorado beer) or have after-dinner drinks around the campfire and enjoy homemade s’mores under the Colorado stars.

Facilities

There are plenty of ways to relax, with the signature Eleven twist - there is a saltwater pool with an underwater sound system to chill out to, a steam room, a sauna, a massage room, a gym, yoga, and indoor and outdoor hot tubs - head to the rooftop to combine a soak with panoramic views and night-time stargazing.

Indoors, relax by the fireplace in the lounge and enjoy TV and movies in the media room, where you can also watch slideshows of your day’s adventures, courtesy of the Eleven photographers.

As well as the vast natural playground on the doorstep, there are also children’s playrooms and storytelling rooms to keep the younger members of the family entertained.

Activities at Scarp Ridge Lodge

There are numerous guided activities on offer all year round: in summer, go mountain biking on world-class trails, whitewater rafting, paddleboarding, horse riding, rock climbing and hiking amongst the colourful wildflowers, and in winter, enjoy exclusive skiing opportunities both on and off-piste, as well as snowshoeing, dog-sledding and ice skating, and make use of Eleven’s mountain chalets. There is always a plan B – so if you can’t ski, the guides will have another exhilarating off-the-beaten-track adventure up their sleeves.

Keen photographers can also enjoy a professional photography tour during their stay.

The activities are tailored by your expert guides to suit you and your skill levels, with all ages and abilities catered for, and all the gear you need is provided.
