Hotel Overview

Where

On the shores of Saranac Lake, deep in the heart of Adirondack Park which is a two hour drive up-state from New York City.

Rooms at The Point

Welcoming a maximum of twenty two guests, the guest rooms at The Point are spread out amongst four log cabins and the private Lakehouse. Again, the feel is really nostalgic without being twee, with roaring stone fireplaces, huge four-poster beds, and antique taxidermy that evokes The Point’s days as a hunting lodge.

Food and facilities

Everyone raves about the food at The Point, and it’s a huge part of the lodge experience. Guests dress formally for dinner in the great hall, and the atmosphere is really convivial with the hosts going out of their way to get quieter guests chatting through the many courses. Meanwhile, if you want something a little more intimate, they can make you private dinners, belt-busting BBQs, and picnics wherever you fancy – interspersed with truffled popcorn, home-baked cookies, and smores around the campfire.

Activities at The Point

The largest park in the US, and close to famous Lake Placid, Adirondack is absolute heaven for lovers of the great outdoors. During the summer, you can explore the dozens of bays and inlets in Saranac Lake in one of the vintage boats or polished mahogany canoes; fish, water-ski, go riding and mountain-biking, before being greeted by one of the lodge’s resident dogs who’ll lead you back through the forest. We also love The Point in the winter, when you can go snow-shoeing, skiing, and ice-fishing, before cosying up with egg-nog back at the lodge.
