Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

The Ranch at Death Valley is located in Furnace Creek, a small desert community, and within Death Valley National Park.

Rooms at The Ranch at Death Valley

At the ranch, you have a choice of single-storey cabins or spacious rooms with French doors leading to small patios and balconies. All of the rooms are decorated in light, earthy tones.

Food & Drink

The family can feast on hearty meals here, enjoying a western Americana menu of biscuits and gravy, pancakes, burgers, fried chicken and omelettes. Spend the evening sipping on the locally brewed Badwater Ale, unwind by listening to some classic tunes from the jukebox or catch up on an important sports event on the big-screen TV.

Facilities

As well as the natural swimming pool and tennis, basketball and volleyball, there’s an interesting borax museum in the ranch, where you can learn about the famous 20-mule teams and see one of the last remaining wagons (in front of the resort’s entrance), as well as the world’s lowest golf course at 214 feet below sea level.

Activities at The Ranch at Death Valley

Leave the golfer in the family on the 18-hole course, the historian in the museum and the water babies in the swimming pool. Anyone left over can visit the national park’s visitor centre to learn more about the history and culture of the region. Spend the entire day exploring Death Valley’s surreal landscapes on foot, bike or horseback, and once you’ve returned to the resort, fuel up before heading back outside for some incredible stargazing in the national park, the largest Dark Sky National Park in the country.
