When to go to Dominica
The best time to visit Dominica is between December and April, especially between February and April, when the sun is at its sunniest and the tropical landscapes are at their greenest. The hiking trails are more accessible, and it is also easier to see the country's exotic birds at this time. For turtle watching, head to Dominica between March and September to see giant leatherback, hawksbill and green turtles laying eggs. A few months later, the hatchlings make their way to the sea.
The rainy season is from June to October, with the chance of hurricanes in September and October - however this is also a lovely and quite time to visit, with stretches of pristine beach all to yourself. It is a beautiful destination year-round, rain or shine.
