The View

Perched in the Hajar mountains, 45 minutes’ drive from the ancient city of Nizwa.

Eco-luxe, private and ensuite, the 15 fixed tents at The View make for traditional and comfortable accommodation in a striking setting. Each of the tents enjoy breathtaking views from private terraces, and some even have their own patio area to relax in.

Meals are served buffet style in the small dining area, looking over the valley and the village of Al Hamra - here you’ll get to taste all the Middle Eastern classics: think platters of fresh flatbreads with rich hummus and spicy meat stews.

Half an hour away is the cave of Al Hoota, thought to be over two million years old and containing an underground lake and rare wildlife species such as the blind fish garra barreimiae, arthropods and molluscs. Make the most of the surrounding terrain with a thrilling bike ride or a rewarding hike through the rocky mountainscape, and as the sun sets in the evening, watch the lights of Al Hamra twinkle in the distance.
