Activites at Manatus Hotel

With canals on either side, the best way to explore Tortuguero National Park is by canoe or kayak, but you can also hike deep into the rainforest to explore the 11 ecological habitats - for something a little different, experience the sights and sounds of the forest on a night-time tour.

The real highlight of a stay here though is seeing giant leatherback turtles make their way over the dark sands on the Caribbean coast , as well as hawksbill turtles and tiny loggerhead hatchlings. We’ll let you know the best time of year to see the turtles laying their eggs and hatching, and you can also get involved in the local conservation projects.
