Due to its sheer size, Turkey experiences a variety of climates. A temperate climate can be found within the Black Sea region, while inland experiences a continental climate and the Mediterranean and Aegean coasts enjoy Mediterranean weather.
Generally speaking, July and August are the hottest months with temperatures reaching around 35 degrees Celsius in the cities. Many of the islands enjoy cool breezes to take the sting out of the heat.
The best times to visit are April, May, September and October when the weather is warm but not too hot and the resorts are not too crowded.
