Hotel Bel Ami

The hotel could not be better placed to explore Paris’s bohemian area as it sits in the heart of the trendy Saint-Germain-des-Prés, just a 10 minute walk from the Louvre Museum.

Housed in a former printing factory, Hotel Bel Ami has been redesigned by Philippe Maidenberg, who has combined monochrome interiors with 1960s pendant chairs and vibrant velvet furniture. The décor and furnishings in the rooms and suites are elegant yet striking, with clean white lines splashed with bright neon shades.

The cocktail selection is as fun as the rooms with a wide range of signature drinks that can be enjoyed at the lobby bar, which also serves a mix of salads, pastas and burgers. Brunch is available at the weekends and is perfect in between sightseeing. At the restaurant, Les Mots Passants, you can admire the words of the author the restaurant is amusingly named after, Guy de Maupassant: "Of all the passions, the only one which seems respectable to me is the passion for good food”, or keep yourself occupied by the collection of art books and ceiling screens that beam down images of Parisian life.
