3 nightsPARIS

Your first stop is beautiful Paris, steeped in history yet a thoroughly modern city. Take your fill of its iconic landmarks, most notably the Eiffel Tower - head up to the viewing platform to look out over Paris and the Seine, before heading out on the water on a scenic cruise. Treat yourself in some of the many designer boutiques, see the Mona Lisa in the Louvre and dine like a king - Paris is known for its cuisine and there's no shortage of supreme dining options here, so you're certainly spoilt for choice. You don't even have to go far, as your hotel, the regal Four Seasons George V, has no less than three Michelin-starred restaurants.

The Four Seasons also has lavish rooms with crystal chandeliers, an ornate pool, a candlelit spa and a fantastic location: it's just a stone's throw from the Champs-Elysées and offers quintessential views over the Paris skyline.

The next stop on your luxury city-hopping adventure is Madrid. You can't fail to get swept up in the vibrancy of Spain's capital, which especially comes alive after dark, from flamenco to opera and buzzing nightlife. After strolling around Plaza Mayor, discovering famous artists in the Prado and visiting the impressive Royal Palace, linger over some tapas and cava and soak it all up.

Your final city is Rome, whose wealth of historic landmarks include the legendary Colosseum, the Vatican, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. The eternal city has long been a favourite of celebrities and filmmakers, and it's not hard to see why. After experiencing its icons for yourself, wander along winding streets which open onto vast squares that are perfect for stopping off in a café and watching the world go by. When in Rome...
