Choose from three different types of accommodation, including the fully self-contained Beach House Apartment, two private Boutique Studios or the family friendly Curio Cottage.   Rooms feature super king beds made out of recycled timbers, bathrooms designed with roaming driftwood collected by the owners, spacious living areas, and a ‘no dogs’ policy for the neighbourhood penguins nesting in the garden.

All rooms have kitchen facilities, but due to a lack of grocery stores nearby, make sure you stock up en-route.

From yellow-eyed penguins and Hector’s dolphins to fur seals and sea lions, the Catlins are home to a huge array of wildlife. With the surf just metres away, body boarding, surfing and swimming are popular activities, and the area offers many native bush walks past cascading waterfalls and historic caves.
