Hotel Overview

Sense of place

The harmonious landscape along the Mekong is an eclectic blend of hillsides carpeted in jungle, expansive low-lying flood plains and ethnic villages peppering the banks. During your cruise on The Jahan, you’ll pass ancient temples, and catch a glimpse of how locals live off the land in some of South-east Asia’s most rural spots.

Rooms onboard The Jahan

The 26 cabins all channel the vessel’s colonial Indian design, with beautifully-appointed interiors and coloured with Indian patterns. Accommodation options include Superior, Deluxe and Signature staterooms, or, for an added splurge of luxury, there are two Jacuzzi suites: The Taj, flaunting Indian design decor and fit for a king, or the Lord Byron, delicately decorated with British colonial paintings on its walls.

Food & drink

Dinner is served in the grand Viceroy Dining Hall, where both traditional local cuisine and western dishes are on the menu, and large floor-to-ceiling windows ensure you’re not spared on the view when dining.

Sundowner cocktails can be enjoyed at the elegant Funnel Bar, which offers light gourmet snacks. You can also be treated to a barbecue on the pool deck or a private prosecco breakfast on your balcony.

Facilities

Spread across three decks, The Jahan offers a wealth of five-star facilities, including a gym, a pool featuring Turkish mosaic tiles and a Jacuzzi. Go for a pamper session at the Apsara Spa, or unwind in the steam bath. If you’re feeling a little more active, start each day with a Tai Chi class on the deck, or join a Khmer cooking class. Regular educational lectures are also held onboard, on topics from art to ethnology.

Activities onboard The Jahan

The Jahan stops off at new and exciting destinations each day, taking in some of south-east Asia's most iconic landmarks as you travel between Saigon and Siem Reap. Visit colourful floating markets, tribal villages and royal palaces, travelling in a range of modes of transport including ox carts and sampans.
