The modern Forest Lodge, meanwhile, features a blend of Japanese and western-style interiors and offers stunning views of Hakone National Park from its position high up on the hill.

Food and facilities

There’s no danger of going hungry at the Fujiya, with no less than five restaurants and bars to choose from. For traditional Japanese cuisine there’s Kikka-so Inn, which offers exquisite kaiseki based on fresh, seasonal ingredients, while there’s afternoon tea on offer at Orchid Lounge and traditional French fare at The Fujiya Restaurant. In the evening, enjoy a cocktail in colonial Oriental surroundings at the Victoria.

Activities at The Fujiya

Exploring The Fujiya’s grand corridors and marvelling at its stunning architecture is enough to keep you occupied for days, but the hotel also makes the most of the region’s unique geography with a range of hot spring baths and pools. With private and public options available, these are the perfect way to relax after a day spent exploring the beautiful landscapes of Hakone National Park.
