Hotel Overview

Sense of Place

The Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay has an idyllic setting on Jimbaran Bay, a sweeping arc on Bali’s south coast, in a secluded spot away from the livelier parts of the island.

Rooms at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay

The spacious villas are inspired by traditional Indonesian villages, and these totally private enclaves, set on a hillside dotted with temples, are designed to immerse you within the lush, tropical landscape. Each one has a private pool and separate pavilions for sleeping, eating, and bathing, with features such as Balinese carved doors, handcrafted artworks and cushions adorned with colourful batik prints, alongside private stone-walled courtyards, beautiful private gardens and sun terraces - and many have lovely sea views.

Privacy and seclusion are paramount, and the open-walled rooms are linked by walkways, tranquil reflection pools and traditional Balinese sculptures.

Food & Drink

The settings are what make dining at here so special –4 whether it’s a chilled-out lunch with sand between your toes or a barbecue on the beach, surrounded by fire dancers. Enjoy gourmet Asian cuisine and speciality cocktails at Sundara (whose name comes from the Sanskrit word for 'beautiful'), which is set on the bay.

We recommend the decadent five-course lobster dinner - featuring dreamy summer rolls, creamy lobster bisque, grilled spiny lobster and truffle hollandaise - served in a romantic oceanfront gazebo, backed by misty volcanoes.

You can also cook up a storm at the cookery school - master sate lilit ayam (satay chicken) and pepes ikan kakap (grilled red snapper).

Facilities

We love the infinity-edge pool, set on a stone terrace, where water slips over the edge to create a 7-metre waterfall. Cool off with a swim and bask in the whirlpools while attendants bring you ice cream, fresh fruit, cold towels and that ever-important sunscreen.

A visit to the spa, set around a lotus pond, is a must for a spot of pampering. Utilising traditional Balinese techniques, it offers steam rooms and relaxation areas as well as a range of treatments, from massages to body scrubs, guaranteed to send you into a state of blissful calm. You can also enjoy morning and evening yoga as well as meditation sessions.

Activities at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay

As you’d expect of a Four Seasons hotel, there’s no end of activities here, including tennis and golf – but when it comes to water sports, this is where this part of Bali really comes into its own. Just a short boat ride away from the hotel, you can make the most of the island’s unbeatable waves – whether you’re a pro-surfer or a newbie who wants to have a lesson. You can also go whitewater rafting or tone those abs with the current celebrity fad: paddle boarding.

For premium relaxation, head to the exclusive Coconut Grove beach retreat, set on a secluded stretch of sand beneath the palm trees, and enjoy a sunset cruise on the bay, complete with champagne and canapés. Further afield, visit local villages and terraced rice fields and meet and feed the elephants. The hotel also offers plenty for children, from kite-making classes to underwater adventures.
